“Important” warning about wireless broadband network
It has been a pleasure to keep all our members informed about the latest, worst and the best about broadband internet in India and now is the time we take our forum to the next level by influencing the broadband market with our consumer power by changing the way these isps treat us.
The reason I am sending this e-mail is that we have had hundreds of e-mails from all over India asking for solutions for getting better speeds for wireless broadband provided by different cable operators like sify, hathway, pacenet and a lot of other local isps who have their own brands… here is what they are doing… These cable operators have started replacing their cables with wireless equipment and have now started setting up base stations at their end and wireless CPE at our end (customers end) and this is a very welcome move as long as we get better service but the problem is substandard equipment they use to cut costs and to find out who is suffering shouldn’t take too many guesses.. Well its you and me and those who are going to be their future wireless customers.
These cable operators are using equipment from no name companies where as they should be using products from good reputed companies but it costs a tiny bit more then the cheap Chinese built equipment, India broadband is researching all the products in the market right now and will come out with results on whats the best very soon. I have a few cable operators complaining that they have spend a lot of money on the wireless equipment but once they have more then 15-20 customers connected wirelessly to the same base station the network gets congested and also there is a lot of interference in signals resulting in unstable and slow connectivity with extremely high ping times.
If you are a cable operator planning to set up your own wireless network please feel free to open up a new thread at :http://www.indiabroadband.net/wireless-network/ and India broadband will be happy to help you with valuable know how and point you in the right direction… Free of charge as usual.
Most of us are going to be customers and my request to you is that you go through what is the best equipment on offer on the forum in this section: http://www.indiabroadband.net/wireless-network/ and would run trouble free and stable broadband for you.
This is going to be a new mission for all of us netizens to educate our cable operators about what’s the best and for us to know more about emerging technologies and products.
The new wireless networking sub forum here : http://www.indiabroadband.net/wireless-network/ is a newly created section due to requests from a lot of cable operators who have been a victim of dirty sales tactics by chinese and local manufacturers and now some of them are stuck with big investments already been done and are looking to get out of this mess. If you are a cable operator looking to go wireless please hold your horses untill we get a clear picture once out experiments are over… If you have placed an order >> do a stop payment on your cheques or if you do not know what to do please feel free to create a new thread in this section for me and other experienced networking engineers who frequent the forum to guide you furthur in this regard as the guidance you will get here will be free from bias or vested interests.
